Lewes Councillors Support “Zanes Law”

Lewes Councillors have voted to support calls for ‘Zane’s law’.

It’s named after a 7-year-old boy who died when noxious fumes from a landfill site leaked into his home in Surrey a decade ago.

Zane’s father Kye Gbangbola travelled to Lewes to attend the council meeting and hear the debate.

The council will now write to the Prime Minister and Secretary of State for Health expressing their support for new legislation to clean up contaminated land.
